Samplitude Pro X2 Suite also includes a variety of high-quality built-in effects, including the AM-munition Compressor/Limiter, the AM-Suite (Analogue Modeling Suite), and Vandal (Guitar and Bass Amp simulator). However, objects can also be "split", creating multiple smaller objects from a larger one, or "glued", which combines multiple smaller objects into one larger one.
Objects created by recording appear as a continuous, unbroken rectangle on the Track. Objects can be created in Samplitude either by importing them or by recording. Through the Object Editor, various controls and effects (Pan, Volume, Invert Phase, Timestretch, Pitchshift, VST plugins, Magix Plugins, etc.) can be applied at the Object level as opposed to being applied at the Track level.

If the object is a MIDI object, it will appear as a series of square dots that represent the MIDI notes contained therein. If the object is an Audio object, it will look like a standard graphic of a Wav file. In Samplitude, an "object" is a graphical representation of a piece of audio or MIDI data that appears on a Track in the Arranger window. One of the features that separates Samplitude from other DAWs is the concept of "object-oriented editing". Connect to other multimedia applications with sample accuracy via ReWire.

Tim: thank you for giving me the idea to check out explorer. and here is a possible solution to anyone having similar problems.
Strange situation and i'm not sure how it happened, but nevertheless it did. while your at it, you might wanna make sure that the folders/files aren't set to "read only" because that might give you some grief also. Windows might give you some hassle but this is a basic thing.ģ.

go to desired folder (if you do file by file you'll get bored fast, hit em all with one shot) right click > properties > security and make sure you have full control over all the contents of the folders. make sure you ARE the admin of the computer. well if anyone has trouble with saving files ġ. i guess that happened when i renamed my HDD. but i'll return here periodically seeing if any help was found here or to post the solution.ĮDIT: i didn't have the permissions to "modify" the contents of my recording/production folder. While waiting for a reply i'm going to go search for help on that in windows forums. So the solution was to use a different project name. My guess is that Samplitude had a file handle or resource to that file still open. When I went to save the file under the same project name it said "error writing data". But I realized that the files I needed to import were at a different sample rate. I had previously opened the project under the same name. This happened to me today and I realized what the issue is.
